Halyps Cement opened its industrial plant doors’ for a second time to the public amid a festive atmosphere welcoming 1200 visitors including inhabitants of the area, employees with their families, senior Western Attica Prefectural Authorities, Local Community, Aspropyrgos Municipal Authorities and anyone interested to see closely how does one of the largest cement industries in the Mediterranean works.

Visitors were impressed by the size of facilities, where thousand tons of cement is produced on an annual basis almost automatically fully respecting the environment, as the company management meticulously abides by European Union regulations in the fields of Environmental Protection, Social Responsibility and Personnel Safety.

The “Open Door Day” gave the opportunity to the employees and company partners families, to the Halyps plant neighbours from Aspropyrgos, Elefsina and Mandra municipalities and to the local authorities to meet in a festive and opened atmosphere with the main executives of Halyps Cement and to realize by themselves the investments and progresses performed by the company in order to achieve the best possible working and safety condition for its employees, an optimized quality for its products and services, and its permanent care for the environment protection.

Special care has been taken for children who were entertained with the programme prepared by the plant management.
